Your questions answered...
- Do I need a lawyer to buy a house in Crete?
- Yes. A registered laywer authorised to practice in Greece is required for all property transactions. You are free to appoint a lawyer of your choice or we will be pleased to recommend a local English speaking lawyer familiar with property purchase.
- How do I make an offer on a property that I wish to purchase?
- Once you have found the property that you wish to buy, an Agreement to Purchase form is completed stipulating the agreed property price as well as estimates for the property transfer tax and legal fees. In addition, a deposit amount is specified and agreed upon. Dreamcatchers can help you with this process.
