FILIPOS

Leave Vrisses and head towards the slopes of the White Mountains. Nestled in the foothills, after about 5 minutes, you will find the tiny little hamlet of Filipos.

Filipos is in the municipality of Kryonerida whose administrative centre is at Vrisses. Filipos is part of the community of Vrisses and about 40 people live there permanently.

Not surprisingly there are no tavernas, bars or clubs in Filipos. It is a very quiet location surrounded by greenery in the shape of many, many Pine trees as well as the more typical Olive groves.

However although ridiculously peaceful, it’s not exactly in the middle of nowhere.  Filipos is only 5 minutes drive from Vrisses where there are lots of shops, tavernas and more. Similarly the beaches at Giougiopolis are only 10 minutes away.

There are obviously some great stone renovations at Filipos as well as some newer houses on the outskirts.
